Fox News, Lawrence Richard, October 14, 2022: footage from January 6, 2021, recorded by Alexandra Pelosi and released during the House January 6 Committee hearing that Thursday, shows Speaker Nancy Pelosi speaking to Chief of Staff Terri McCullough. As Fox renders the tape: “I hope he comes, I’m going to punch him out,” Pelosi says, “I’ve been waiting for this, for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m going to punch him out.” And: “I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy.” Fox writes that McCullough “discourages her boss from making the comments.” CNN later ran more context, Fox notes.

Those sentences are Pelosi’s. This page does not assign them to McCullough. Fox’s “discourages” line is a journalist’s description of McCullough’s reaction, not a published verbatim McCullough quote on this page. It is not a finding that McCullough threatened anyone. It is not a Trump quote invented by this site. A real Trump remark that day belongs to him and needs its own primary; it is not restated here as hers.

The Speaker told the chief of staff she wanted to punch the President and would be happy to go to jail. The aide, Fox says, tried to wave it off. That is the tape as Fox wrote it. Her job was to staff that office. Print whose mouth moved.
